Art Print "Nosferatu"

One of film history's most popular bloodsuckers next to Dracula is the vampire named Count Orlock, known from the silent movie “Nosferatu” published in the 1920ies. The story of Count Orlock, filmed by the German director F.W. Murnau, is strongly inspired by Bram Stokers “Dracula”, which was the reason it almost got forgotten forever. After a lost court case induced by Bran Stokers heirs, that accused Murnau for copyright infringement, all copies of the movie were to be destroyed. Some copies survived luckily and “Nosferatu” became one of the masterpieces of German Expressionist cinema. The most iconic shot from the movie is the stairway scene, where Count Orlock's eerie silhouette is shown slowly approaching the bedroom of his victim Ellen. In this illustration Count Orlock is shown standing tall with his iconic “stairway shadow” in the background.
The drawing was commissioned by the brand “Creep-O-Rama” and created after their concept.
